At Chiropractic from the Heart, we are excited to witness lives transform! Passion and inspiration motivate us to carry on the legacy of Specialized Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care. “Miracles” are commonplace when restoring health to the nerve system at the vital level of the brainstem.

What is Specialized Upper Cervical Chiropractic?

A specialized chiropractic technique that identifies and precisely corrects nerve interference at the level of the brainstem by making corrections to the top two vertebrae of the spine, C1 & C2, otherwise known as atlas and axis.

Why just the top two bones? There’s the whole rest of the spine!?

Specialized Upper Cervical Chiropractic CareThat’s exactly what we thought until we discovered the power of “turning this switch on”! From 1935-1951 (16 years), the developer of chiropractic, Dr. B.J. Palmer, thoroughly researched which techniques were the most effective at restoring health to a person’s nerve system. He determined it to be the Upper Cervical Specific Knee Chest technique. He deduced that by making corrections at C1/C2, he could positively affect the entire spine below, as well as, organ, tissue, and cell function within the body. This is referred to as healing “From Above, Down, Inside, Out”. He refers to this region of the spine as the connection between “man and God” because it is such a life-giving region of the nerve system. The upper cervical work continues to be researched to this day and is as effective as it was when Dr. Palmer researched it!

Would This Work For Me?

Specialized Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care has worked for many people around the world because of a simple principle of health. Every organ, muscle, tissue, cell, or complex system requires proper Brain to Body communication. The organ that provides that communication is your nervous system! And your spine protects the most important part of your nervous system: the Central Nervous System. If you take it a step further, the top two bones of the spine protect the Brain Stem of the Central Nervous System. The Brain Stem should be considered a vital organ because it functions like the Master Control Center for the whole body; it’s the starting point of the nervous system! At Chiropractic from the Heart, that’s our area of expertise. We are Specialized Upper Cervical Chiropractors, who focus exclusively on this area. We (Doctors Angela & Rafael) have had many years of advanced, post-graduate Specialized Upper Cervical Chiropractic training, and experience and bring this gift to our patients & families in their communities.

So What Do You Think? Could improving the health, function, mobility, and position of the bones in your spine improve the health of your nervous system and its Brain to Body communication function? For many people it’s the missing link to true health and healing. It sounds rational and simple. It is. That’s why it’s a principle and that’s why it works for many people.

Everyone sits somewhere on the pendulum between health and sickness or fully alive and…the other. A healthy nervous system doesn’t guarantee instant health. For some, the improvements are so noticeable, it seems instantaneous and dramatic. But as with most things, the greatest benefits come with time. The longer the doctors can monitor, measure, and improve upon the health and function of your nervous system, the greater the opportunity your body can become that self regulating, self healing organism that it’s capable of being. Remember: “The Power that Made the Body Heals the Body”given the proper conditions. The benefit of Chiropractic (a healthy nervous system) provides a great foundation for your overall health and well being. The other part of the health equation is a Healthy Lifestyle which, as you know, is multifaceted. As your Brain-Body communication begins to function at its optimum ability, the benefits of your Healthy Lifestyle choices and activities are increased in magnitude.
